National Wildlife^® Photo Contest is closed

The editors of National Wildlife magazine want to thank the thousands of photographers who entered images in our 47th annual photo contest. We greatly appreciate your time and effort, and we are enjoying reviewing your beautiful work.

Because of the high volume of entries, it will take some time to select the grand prize winner and first- and second-place winners in each of our seven categories. All winners will be notified by October, 2018. (For more information, see Rules.)

A selection of the winning photographs and honorable mentions will be published in the December-January 2019 issue of National Wildlife magazine, which comes out in mid-November 2017. All winning images will be published on the magazine’s website.
